Earlier this week, GoLive Indonesia representative, Risti Permani, was fortunate to meet the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) delegation including IPB Rector Prof Herry Suhardiyanto, Vice rector for research and international collaboration Prof Anas M. Fauzi, Head of Economics Postgraduate program and Director of International Centre for Applied Finance and Economics (INTERCAFE) Dr Nunung Nuryartono, Professor in Economics Prof Rina Oktaviani, and Senior Lecturer in Economics and Senior Research Fellow at INTERCAFE Dr Iman Sugema, Dr Lukytawati Anggraeni Putra and several new students from Indonesia who will commence their study in dual-degree Master of Applied Economics program.
Between 28 and 30 January 2014, the delegation was hosted by the Faculty of Professions University of Adelaide and the Institute for International Trade (IIT) organised a workshop on topics including livestock trade, trade in services and aid policy and its effectiveness. The IPB delegation also had opportunities to meet with representatives from Global Food Studies, School of Economics and other disciplines and schools in other faculties.
Prof Herry Suhardiyanto emphasised the importance and potential benefits of having an agreed long-run framework for collaboration and this can be achieved through promoting double-degree programs, joint publications between researchers in University of Adelaide and IPB and research collaborations.
