Wayne’s passion in Agriculture is to grow people. He studied Agricultural Science at Adelaide Uni, did his PhD in Sydney and has been lecturing since 1992. He is Professor of Animal Breeding and Genetics at the University of Adelaide. He has been a program leader in the Beef CRC, director of Pork CRC and continues to lead multiple sheep and cattle projects. The majority of his research has been targeted at genetic improvement of enterprise efficiency and meat quality. He has also supervised student projects involved in physiology, statistical genetics, social science, extension methodologies and influence of social media on public opinion. He is committed to working closely with producers and others in the value chain.
